sophie conroy is an artist and researcher working between Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. Her practice uses lived experience as a form of embodied research, working through participatory projects, installation, textiles, film, writing, and drawing to explore how care is structured, permitted, and withheld, particularly around access to basic needs such as rest, safety, and shelter.

her projects unfold through long-term durational research, often placing herself directly within the conditions she is investigating. work has been presented internationally through exhibitions, residencies, and publications.

facilitation

alongside her artistic practice, sophie works independently with cultural organisations as a feedback and reflection facilitator, designing feedback processes for accessibility-focused meetings and public programmes. Working externally to organisations, she offers independent perspective on how initiatives are experineced by participants.
