I am sophie, an artist and researcher who likes drawing, writing, and being near the sea.      I use my life as a tool to research, placing myself in different frames and contexts to explore the questions I am interested in. I'm often exploring how cities have influenced us as humans, how we care ( or dont care ), how we connect ( or dont connect), and how we live ( or dont) . 

My graduation project Without a House came from choosing to live without a fixed base for 6 months in Eindhoven in 2023, and in 2025 I created and hosted 4 temporary public bedrooms in central Amsterdam, supported by Mediamatic.

I share the stories of my research through textiles, installation, film, writing, and drawing. 
I'm currently living in a small green caravan on a hill in a community in the south of Spain.

facilitation

alongside my practice I work with creative people, supporting them with structuring their time and their projects. I also host workshops and work as a process and accessibility facilitator within cultural organisations.
