people were welcomed to rest
in four Public Bedrooms
in the centre of Amsterdam.
The spaces were used by many.
Some for a pause in the middle of a busy day,
others for a night’s sleep.
Built on trust and unconditional welcome,
this prototype explored how
public space could meet human needs.
