Pillow Diary is an ongoing series of hand-bound diaries.
They're made to be used and lived with,
designed to grow and change over time.
The series came from my practice of using diaries
as tools for orientation during periods of displacement.
Between 2023-2025, I chose to live without my own house.
For 2 years I moved through Europe, exploring
ways of meeting basic needs without private space.
My diary became a form of home,
sometimes literally my pillow.
Each diary is both artifact and tool,
made to accumulate marks of use.
They sit between social practice and material culture.
Each is hand-bound (A5) with blank recycled pages.
Covers are board wrapped in found textiles and old clothes,
hand-stitched. Numbered, one-of-a-kind.
